Report: A-Rod On Plane That Went Off Runway
Yankees Third Baseman Not Believed To Be Injured

(AP) NEW YORK CBS 2 has learned that a private plane carrying seven passengers, including New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez, has skidded off a runway in Burbank, Calif.

It is believed no one was injured.

The incident came two days after Yankees pitcher Cory Lidle was killed, along with his flight instructor, in a high-rise crash in Manhattan.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
