    Kid's Day Review

Post some of your pics here I can't do any of mine b/c I don't have my USB for the Cam, I didn't like the 2 MD-80's(I thought there would have been more variety).

oh yeah I got in trouble for opening the reverser buckets on the DL shuttle. It must have looked really cool from the side though! . . to see the bucjets just swing open and then close.

Here are just a couple...I took about 250 shots total, but only wanted to edit a select few (the light started to suck BAD) and these are from the first several minutes we were there.

Look closely...you can see me laying on the ground taking this shot...

    I had a great time

    Hi all,
First time visiting Kids Day and I had a great time. I took my nephew there and he also had a great time. It was his first time inside the plane and the look on his face was priceless.
We got to LGA around 2pm. Lot 7 was the designated parking lot for Kids Day and it was FREE!
We didn't get any goody bags from UA because it was all out by the time we got there. We got Passports from Delta, Stickers and pins from AA. We didn't get any from US Air.
I am looking at the pictures we took today and the lighting was really bad as the clouds were coming in. I don't have the SLR type camera, just a regular digital so my pictures didn't come out great.
Anyway, I just want to thank Phil D for informing about this day. I didn't get to meet anybody but I wasn't really looking anyway, hopefully next time I will.
I will definitely go early next time. The other post indicated EWR had the same thing today, does JFK have the same thing too?
Also, does anybody have the Regs on the planes?
    Thanks again!

Beautiful shots there Mel and Andrew! I had a great time, despite the weather but it was awesome being so close to the action. I wish I had been able to get into one of the aircraft but by the time I was ready to it was too late. It was nice to see everyone again and to see some new faces.

I was the one with the Aviators and the brown jacket by the way for people I didn't meet.

After LGA my dad and I headed over to JFK for a little while but we spent most of the time looking for the mounds and ended not taking a lot of pics. I finally saw the 777-200LR and snapped a tail shot that I had been hoping for a while to get.

So here are some of my shots from today!

    Love the avatar Mel!

Man, some GREAT shots from Andrew and Gordon. Really beautiful stuff! Thsoe artistic shots are fun to look at after an event like today.

It was great seeing you folks, and getting to meet several new people. Wehave a great crowd here in our area.

My shots came out very underexposed, as I'm still getting used to the 20D.

This is the only artistic shot that I edited. I was so impressed with how smoothly shined, that I pressed my thumb onthe flap and took the following photo:

    Good times, guys!

These are the best ones I got today. Jealous that I didn't get there while the sun was still out. I'll have a couple more later.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

It was great seeing everyone today - quite a turnout from NYCA!

A surprise visit from our favorite Futterman!

Looks like everyone was doing this:

So I thought I should get in on the act too!

Didn't get a shot of it, but based on the "539" on the nose gear door, it looks like it should be N7539A, an MD-82
