Believe it or not the usual call-sign for VF-31 is "Tomcat". Might want to keep a listen for "Felix" or "Bandwagon" as well.Originally Posted by cancidas
Although not the best spot for flyby's and waveoff's I'm going to the end of the runway on my ladder so I can be as close to the Turkey as possible and soak it in. With the close call during the opening ceremony at Oceana last week and the flat final flyby I would not be surprised if all we get is a break for landing. I'll have to see if the jets going to Miami, North Island and Palmdale do anything extra today and tomorrow.

The three most common expressions in aviation are, "Why is it doing that?", "Where are we?" and "Oh Crap".
To reinterate, what is the time and date again?
I might just watch it from the office :)...oh, maybe the roof of the office!
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

Time: Unknown until flight plan is filed on the 3rd.
But now that I think of it, Northrop is supposed to have some sort of event-thing for its retiree members and current emplyees, so I'm sure once the time info gets out for that we will be able to figure out her arrival time before the official flight plan is filed. So if you know people that work at Bethpage, make sure you force them to immediately call you when they find out that info. Thanks.

God is a Tomcat fan so weather is looking very good! I was a bit concerned late last week. I'll be there around 9 to see what runway is active and then set up. That's with my ladder Scott :0! It should be a very proud, sad and historic day.

I will be shortly after that time....I should be about 9:25-9:40.
I will be setting up on New Hwy... I have an idea but it may change as usual!
