New member to NYC Aviation forums

    Hi folks,

Just thought I would introduce myself, as I joined the forums the other day. I'm Nick Bartolotta, and I live northeast of NYC in Westport, Connecticut. Aviation is my life, along with ATA Airlines. :D

I am an obsessive fan of ATA, and hope to work there someday as a pilot. I lived overseas for the good part of my life, so I just recently moved back to the States and have gotten into spotting. So far I've done spotting at my local airport (BDR), HPN, PHL and when I lived in Japan...RJTT (Haneda).

I'm looking to become a little more involved by saving up for a new, and better camera. The digital one I have no is really not good for spotting, and the zoom is absolutely horrible. I'd like to hit up the NYC airports sometime in the future for spotting, and *fingers crossed* get to see some ATA movements out of LGA

Anyways, glad to be around here on the forums and looking forward to getting to know the regulars here!

The sad part is, that shot is probably an EXTREMELY rare occasion, having four planes at the same airport at one time!

Thanks for the welcome all! I will let you know Phil when I'm going to plan a spotting trip down to NYC though, that would be awesome to meet a fellow ATA-er, and one who is famous

    Hey Nick! Welcome aboard!

Just curious, but what were you doing in Japan? I lived in Korea for five months, but went to Japan and liked it a lot. If I had it over again, I would have stayed longer in Japan instead of Korea.

Lived there eight years for my fathers work, he works at IMS Health now but we moved there with IBM. Twas a blast, we lived right in downtown Tokyo...the freedom you have there to move around the city is really something I miss in the States.
