    Airline Industry Information

An investigation into the crash of an Air France aircraft has been completed, with the findings of the report being scheduled for presentation to Canada's Transportation Safety Board.

Flight 358 from Paris, France, which was carrying 309 people, reportedly skidded off a runway at Toronto's international airport last year. The aircraft burst into flames after landing in a ravine. No fatalities were reported as a result of the incident.

According to The Associated Press, many of the flight's passengers have blamed the pilots for the incident after they allegedly landed almost halfway down the runway in poor weather conditions.

The findings of the preliminary report, which investigated whether the incident was the result of mechanical failure or human error, will not yet be made public.

Reportedly? Despite the photographs and video of the plane on fire in a ditch, and the accounts of hundreds of eyewitnesses, this reporter still leaves it open to the possibility that it didn't happen. :)
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
