Hey Bobby! That aircraft looks like it's definitely taxiing parallel and alongslide 13R-31L. So, he could either be taxiing to 31L (most likely) or 4L.

Sorry to hijack the thread but I read that Southwest served SWF for a short period of time. Does anyone know which routes they flew from SWF? I'm guessing MDW.

I am not to sure about that pic being taken at JFK. I do think it is more like LGA. The reason for my thinking it is LGA is that if you look to the upper left side of the picture there is a bridge. And by runways 31L/13R there are bridges but none that close. The link below shows JFK but I cant find that bridge or those apartments further back.

Hm... your right, it does look awfully like LGA with the bridge and the apartment building in the backround but I wouldn't doubt what Mike said for a minute. Another thing to remember was that the photo was taken in 1996 so things have changed since.

It's JFK. That is the Cross Bay Blvd Bridge which links Broad Channel with the rest of Queens. I'm pretty sure those buildings are on the west side of Jamaica Bay in Brooklyn.

I never found out for sure but believe it was flying in some WN exec staff for meetings in the NY area. Sorry, that's the only shot I took of it. It was before my days of blasting rolls on a plane, stupid me :)

Trust me, it's JFK :) I live in the Rockaways and see those buildings everyday.

Actually, it's the 2nd Cross Bay bridge which connects The Rockaways with Broad Channel, the other bridge (the 31L air-2-air spot) connects Broad Channel to mainland Queens. Those buildings are located in Rockaway Beach.

The photo was taken from the Delta Terminal, back in the days you were able to pass security without a ticket and head for the windows to shoot.

You're right about it being the actual "Cross Bay Bridge." But on the aerial photo you actually circled the subway bridge. :)
