Spirit's Ocho Libre sale is offering $8 fares on a bunch of city pairs on certain dates. The only $8 fare out of NY is to DET on 7/26, 8/2, 9/27. Unfortunately, you must return on 8/23, 9/11 or 9/14 for a $16 round trip, otherwise it's $114 for coach, $154 for "Spirit Plus". They also offer $44 and $88 fares on certain dates for DET. LGA-MCO is also offered for $88.
