    Some specific questions about rejection

well, just got another batch up on jetphotos. but I want to compare some of those accepted to the rejections in order to see the differences and hopefully you can help me figure it out.

As Tom has seen, I have my own style. I don't look for perfect side on shots, etc. I like to allow angles to lead the eye.

I'm trying to see exactly why the crop above is good compared to the one below being unacceptable.

And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

    Mario,
the Korean shot just looks awkward with only a fraciton of the rear stab in the shot, it's either in it fully or not in it at all, perhaps crop more to the left to avoid the stab altogether...

the jetblues are far more heat distorted than the 747, why? because you don't need to zoom in as much on a 747 then an embraer or a a320 thus cutting out the amount of distortion you drag into your photo.

Mario I'd agree with Monty on this. The 747 shot is great and the wing does draw your eye in but that stabilizer sort of throws things out of wack. As for the heat haze when the wing looks as wavy as it does there's to much heat haze.

thanks for that gentlemen. I just wanted to make sure the distortion was realtively subjective, in that some is allowable but lots is not :) thanks for sharing.

interesting about hte crop, I think that is pretty subjective but I can see your point:)

    thanks again for hte input!0

    Mario,

Just my 2 cents, but I agree with Monty - the piece of the stab on that 747 looks odd in the photo. Here's one close crop that I got accepted:

The second JetBlue doesn't look as bad as the first, I don't think it's a bad shot, but I can see why it got rejected.
