Spirit of Delta Farewell Tour Begins

I am lucky that the Farewell Tour of the Spirit of Delta began in Orlando. Here are the first photos of the tour:

    Fly by at MCO:

    Final landing at MCO:

    Final departure at MCO:

For those of you near a tour city, there is a short flight for dignitaries and employees scheduled in each city. In Orlando today, N102DA did a fly by near the end of the short flight. That was particularly cool. I hope they can do that at their other tour stops.

By the way, this confirms the aircraft was completely repainted in its delivery colors.

That looks amazing, particularly in that last shot where you can see how shiny the belly is. Can you imagine being at the airport, having no idea that Delta was doing this, and seeing a plane in Widget colors?!?!?

I am excited....it comes to JFK tomorrow!!!

Man I wish I could see it at JFK tommorow! My nephews brisk was sopposed to be tommorow at 12 in White Plains which meant I could have headed out to JFK afterwards to see it but the brisk has been moved to Thursday...

Although maybe I could head out to JFK early on Thursday to catch it!

For us oldtimers, that was a very common thing :) It's nice to see this one back in the original livery.

And to the folks at in the Paint Shop at Delta Tech Ops in ATL you boyz can take a well deserved bow, "Very Well Done" !!!!

It seems to be using DAL102 flight number based onthe reg.
Should be easy enough to track.

The DL 102 call sign seems to be being used for the city to city flights with a 9996 or similar type number for the circle flights from the tour cites. As Steve said they did a fly-by at MCO and from looking at this routing perhaps the same happened tonight at FLL ?

If this is to happen at JFK would probably be Thursday morning on the circle flight if it happens at all !

    Cheers
