Spotting February 25-26 - PICTURES, 56K = NOT FAST ENOUGH!

Yes, it's going to be cold (but I think it shouldn't be THAT bad if the sun is out and we have clear skies both days), but I am considering going out to JFK on either day and getting a very early start on spotting (not early enough to catch the Thai A345 arriving!). Anyone interested in going out?

BTW it will be a digital camera day for me.

Not sure if I'm up for it this weekend, last Sat and Sun were pretty full days but I'll see what's going on. Might be interested in doing some departures on Sunday. What time does Thai leave anyway?

I'm actually going to be out on Sunday... I believe Thai departs around 11:30-12:00. My plan of attack (hopefully if the weather plays things out correctly and the runways are ideal) is to do Howard Beach until Thai and make my way to Costco (via Burger King) in time to catch Cathay and spend the rest of the day there until at least Qantas.

    Steve,

I believe that Thai does not operate on Tue, Fri and Sun.

Well, that was last time :) Just checked the skeds today and it's now X TFS, which means no svc on Tu Fri and Sun. Of course, it could be wrong. I'll try to meet you out there...

Not even ramp access will get me out spotting on this Sat or Sunday.

15 degrees and windy?! Have a ball and dress warm. im snoozing!
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

I should be out there by 10:30 am Sunday. Give me a buzz on my cell (look on my AIM profile for my number) so I know who's coming.

WOW MaxJet exists!!!! Glad one of us got that dam thing, I swear I think I'm going out this weekend just to finally get her! Last three times out I've either missed her or a cloud blocked the sun. Nice catch on the LOT Star Alliance Steve! I like that one pic to with the bird looking like its following the A340, otherwise a BB gun is required most of the time, LOL I'm kidding people.........normally I just chuck Alka-Seltzer at them, ahahaha

Good stuff, Steve! Glad you got the MaxJet. Nice to see the Lot Star Alliance and the Olympic with the hawkeye military escort. ;)
