United 767-300 at LGA on 2/18

Around noon today I shot N669UA, a United 767-300, departing 31 at LGA. I was totally surprised to see this plane!

    Here's the pic:

    767 + the apple = excellent stuff.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

dang, AMA is one of ua's biggest paint shops , we even painted their first 747 and 777 in new colors. Yet even with what we are doing, there are still birds with old colors ;)

Great Shot Josh ! Glad you got it and glad it is one of those with out a doubt it's LGA shots, sweet !

From what I understand this flight was upgraded from 752 to a 763 due to a significant overbooking on the 752, and DTW was just a fuel stop do the very strong headwinds on Westbound flights the last couple of days of up to 170 knots. B6 had around 20 transcon fuel stops on Friday and US had 12 in MCI alone.

    Cheers

It was extremely cold, but I don't think it was snowing on Sunday. It was snowing on Friday, and DIA had some pretty extensive delays. I flew from DEN-LGA on Friday night, and my original flight scheduled to depart at 6:30 was pushed back until 8:30 (and this was only at 4PM), so it may have gotten off even later.

Luckily, I got on an earlier delayed flight, and actually made it into LGA earlier than I was supposed to!
