    Fighters Overhead Now

Dunno if something is up, or if this is normal New Year's Eve precautions, but there are definitely some fighters circling over eastern Queens right now. I can't see them due to the clouds, but every 30 seconds or so some very loud engines are overhead, much more frequent and loud than if it were LGA traffic.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

Probably just New Year's precautions. Cant publicize it ahead of time or the bad guys would now about it.
