CO at EWR Terminal A

Does anyone know why CO operates Boston, DC, Dallas, Atlanta, and Chicago out of A2 and not in the C terminal? I know these are major business centers but it doesn't seem convenient for connecting passengers.

I believe the short answer is CO is out of space at Terminal C.

Why those 4 aiports in particular? I'm not sure.

I am guessing, between American, Delta and United, many folks can get where they want from Dallas, Atlanta and Chicago without transiting through EWR to the rest of the CO network?

Of course, if the connections are over to Terminal B for international, the airtrain would come into play anyway.

Maybe someone else here knows better than me.
