    need a toned down restaurant.

meeting up with some folks from Colorado and Connecticut in the city this weekend.

Can anyone suggest any good places to eat that just arent so friggin loud? I mean, toned down acoutics where we can eat but not have it sounding like a cafeteria?

I was thinking Tao or Sotto Cinqur in midtown. ideas?

There is Scopa, which is on MAdison and 28th. I'd go there for a nicer lunch every now and then, and I specifically remember how quiet is was. Mike McLaughlin works in that area, so maybe he can give his thoughts on the place if he's ever been.

Quiet is tough. I'll think more and get back to you.

I'm pretty sure the Sotto Cinquo on 29th and 3rd is closed. I think there's another one in the city, although I don't know where it is and/or if it's still open....
