    Yooo hooo! Thanks to all!

Saturday night I was tossing and turning, thinking should I really be spending so much etc, etc.

Then Sunday, my buddy Phil and I (with our escorts) took on B+H and I got my 20D and 100-400 IS.

-walking to the B+H cashier, that butterfly-gut feeling gave way to a feeling of euphoria.

I look over to Phil and threw my arms and hands up. Yesss!! Touchdown! It's good! I was feeling GREAT now!

My escort, Highheels, charged the camera to her credit card, kissed me and said Mazel Tov. Icing on the cake!!

-got home and added to my small pile of lenses
-my only tiny disappointment is that the remote shutter release for my film Canon Rebel cant be used on the new one. No biggie at all!

    Thanks Phil Tommy
and Thanks Mike for the advice!

    I be seeing you'all soon!

and get ready for a ****load of questions!
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...

It wa great to see Mario make the buy. I remember the day I walked out of there with my camera in March of '04. What a feeling. So surreal.

    Again, congrats Mario!

So my first day with 20 D. I havent named her yet but the s500 is now called the baby.

Highheels is driving after dropping Phil off and I am in the pax seat and take the camera out and put on the 100-400.

    I am all powerful!

eastbound of 495, some European inbounds coming toward us, so I throw the new battery in the camera and start to shoot. Basically, I was trying to run the battery down so I could charge it up.

took a few photos, including that Iberian a340 I always seem to catch.

the battery was still alive. So now I am shooing all sorts of random cars, at least 200-300 images, still going, going whats with this battery?

damn this battery, would you die already?

I get home, more pics, still going.

    377 images, c/mon!!! die!

finally, this morning, a few more, still going....

In a fit of rage, I take the camera and slam down on the concrete. Then against the wall.

    There's still battery life.

    DIE battery DIE!!

Finally I soaked the camera in water and it died, but I am not sure if its the battery or the camera thats dead.
So the battery is charging but I cant get the blinker to go.

And the camera, well, its a good thing I went to B+H since I have 7 days to return it!

Glad to hear you are back Mario! Good Luck with the camera! I hope I get the same feeling you did when the D200 comes out next year!

If you want to shoot, call me. I have all the free time in the world now. If the sun is out I am game!
