TAM Brazilian Airlines has just announced new, non-stop service between New York (JFK) and São Paulo (GRU) effective November 11, 2005.

The new Airbus 330-200 flights will begin with four weekly roundtrips. Future plans call for daily service in the coming year. Flying time between the two cities is just over nine hours.

All flights will offer three classes of service: First, Business and Economy. The new route compliments TAM's current twice-daily non-stop service between Miami and São Paulo.

Scheduled southbound departure for the new Monday, Wednesday, Friday flights from JFK's Terminal Four is 6 pm with immediate connections to several major Brazilian cities plus Rio, Buenos Aires, Santiago and Asunción.
