    NW Suspending JFK-NRT

I did not see this one coming. I thought this was one of their most profitable routes. Sad day.

Very sad, I thought they made a huge profit on that route.

Also, I thought NW retired all of their 742? And When did NW introduce the new business class?

Yet another regular 747 service gone from JFK... :(

Ah well, what can I say - all good things have come to an end, don't they?
    Long live the Boeing 747!

The B747-200s are still around, I think there are two or three still flying. They introduced new Business Class with the introduction of the A330-300.

I am really going to miss seeing the beautiful B747-400 sitting on the stand overnight at Terminal 4. I have seen the NWA B747-400 make some very impressive approachs onto 13R.

I guess where now stuck with the DC-9 and the ocasional A320. :-(

I'm no air industry expert, but it seems to me that if management can't make that route profitable, they should be flipping burgers at Wendys.

    Or running FEMA. :D
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
