LGA Kids Day Sat Sept 24th

I spoke to LGA Port Ops tonite, as a Public Service I wanted to give everyone a chance to mark your calenders, Saturday Sept 24th is the Kiwanis Annual Kids Day at the Marine Air Terminal at LGA. Although last years festivities where unfortunately canceled this year is a go. No word on what will be there, two years ago there was a US 734, DL Shuttle 733, AA MD80, Navy Lockheed Orion, F-18, and some other fun stuff. Some of us on this board met for the first time at that event. Hopefully this will be another fun Saturday and many of the NYC Team will be there, I know I will. Since some on this board have never been to one of these fun and FREE events I would like to invite some of my fellow NYC photographers to post some of there photos from two years ago. I hope to see many of you there. And one tip, come hungry, as all the Hot Dogs and Dunkin Donuts you can eat can be had for FREE.

sweet! i'll definately make myself available that day. ron, if you're going to be at the airways exhibit (if we spare and airplane) let me know as i'll be able to do the same (even though im piedmont).
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

Wow, Thanks for the date Ron! This is a really big day for the local guys. It's such an exciting event that often passes below radar.

I hope everyone can make it out there! :)

Normally it's around 1100-1600, the end is the best part as the Military stuff departs. 4-22 has always been closed just in case someone decides to wonder onto the runway.

Just my luck, I have to depart early that morning on an RJ to Ricmond, VA. Maybe I'll see the static as we takeoff.

I forget who this plane belongs to

    I love the old widget

Now I am really starting to feel bad for you dialup users ;)

Teaching kids how to fly (If you work for homeland security :Note-
    SECURITY THREAT!!!!) ;)

    NICE ASS!

    Is this one painted yet?

Helicopters do not fly...they are sooooo ugly the earth repels them.....
    Ohhhh that is soooo old

I like the shot I too in flight to LGA better...but that was not kids
day....Oh, And Tom took Me....THE KID!

Tom Laying down on the Job again!

    Ugly guy!

    A big salad shooter

    GET A BED man!

If this plane were based in LA, it would have had 2 nose jobs!

    Skytypers

    Ditto

    I have NO idea

The green screen is where they play Nintendo on long flights...or so I was told

I was caught looking for the little bottles!

Plane in the backround is singing a song. (Note: the swirl on the tail
design was the motion of a music conductors rod at the end of a
    song....really!)

I have many more but my ears are ringing from all the dialup users
    cursing me out.

What's that 4-engine cockpit? Is that from the P-3 I see poking it's tail out from behind that US 737 above?

Just a little update on what I have heard so far. US will have an aircraft on display, not sure what type yet. AA plans on having a MD80. The Texans will be there and will probably do flybys on arrival and departure. Rumors of two Navy F-18's, nothing confirmed as far as large Military aircraft yet, perhaps an Orion again or C-130, personally I would love to see a C-17 but I am probably dreaming !
