Fly.FAA.gov say Military Activity at LGA Now?

It's 4:35PM Tuesday, and fly.faa.gov says there is military activity affecting LGA-not JFK or EWR or PHL, just LGA.

Has anyone heard anything about anything at LGA this afternoon? Is Cheney in town?

Hope you're all having a great summer...

I'll wait a little bit and go for a walk and have a look at what I can see from my vantage point. If I see anything, I'll post a pic.

Fro my perspective, I was unable to see much of anything interesting except a backed up line to depart 13 that came along bravo and all the way back to the US Airways terminal. That's gotta ruin your day.

Not aware of anything Military at LGA but the outbound ATC is horrendous, depending on Departure fix outbound taxi times average 80-200 mins. So far my worst was US 143 LGA-MSY, pushback at 1505, airbourne at 1835, feel sorry for those folks.

    Regards LGA777

no mil activity... but PAPD was sitting by the runway for a few hours today..
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

When they do that, do all the planes slow way down when they go past, just like folks on the highway when passing a parked highway patrol car? :D

LOL... And, are the cops required to have their dome and/or parking light on?

beacons are on most of the time when they are out on the field. as for airplanes slowing down as they passed the cop, i really didn't notice since there was no movement on the B taxiway for about 4 hours...

    Oh ok...
I'm pretty sure Moose135 didn't really want to know about that, or probably knew considering he's got probably hundreds, if not thousands of hours in a 4 engined aircraft, though, and was just making a joke....
