it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

The Rangers are in town to play the Yanks tonight through Sunday, so most likely sometime Sunday evening - it's a 12:05 pm start for Sunday's game, so figure a couple of hours after the game ends.

Thanks Moose...I'm gonna have to stay on top of this one for sure. Come Sunday, I guess I'll have to go out to LGA in the afternoon and just wait!

So it dropped the team off at Newark, and then ferried to La Guardia for parking? Or is it doing other work while the team is here?
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

The Friday nite game started at 1905, the 727 landed about 1600, seems like that's cutting it a little close, usally the visiting team arrive the day/nite before.

As far as Sunday usally a team charter departs 2 to 2 1/2 hours after the game ends.

And for anyone who does not know this bird here she is and notice how clean she is

and here she is a few days after I rode on her MIA-TPA-MIA for AA's last 727
    flight

Is the Sunday game a day game? If so, and if we assume that the Rangers would fly out of LGA, that'd put the ETD from LGA somewhere in the "ballpark" of 6:00-7:00pm, right? Any chance it will leave earlier to ferry back to EWR?

The Sunday game is a 1305 start so I would expect an approx 1800-1830 departure unless there are extra innings. Monday is a travel day for the Rangers, they play Tuesday in CLE so a short takeoff roll to CLE is likely.

I assume the team was dropped off at EWR as many visiting teams stay at Hotels in NJ, as LGA is a much shorter drive from Yankee Stadium than EWR I'm betting on a LGA departure. I will be at work 1300-2130 on Sunday and I will update this thread if there is any news on Sunday.

well the game was in a rain delay and it was the 5th inning.

It's 1730 lcl and the game is in the 7th inning so so far I would guess about a 1930-2000 lcl departure.

Given the crappy weather, I'm gonna pass on shooting the departure. One of these days I'll get a nice 727 shot at LGA. :)

BTW, what is the active departure runway, Ron?
