    Peter Jennings Dies at 67

    http://abcnews.go.com/US/story?id=1015438

One of the few celebrity deaths that actually make me sad.

I grew up watching Peter Jennings and I thought he was a wonderful reporter.

    Make he rest in peace.

I just saw that on CNN.com. Truly sad, he was a great reporter and a credit to his industry.

I haven't watched the evening news in years, but when I was growing up Dan Rather was always on in my house so I never saw much of Jennings. Looking back on what he did, though, being someone in America for 40 years is no small feat. All without even a high school diploma.

I hope his cause of death helps a lot of people reconsider smoking.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

    that's a shocker... didn't even expect it.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

Peter Jennings started smoking when he was 11 and he smoked until he was about 50 and then he started again. That **** will take its toll. It's no surprise he got lung cancer, which is virtually incurable when detected late, like it was with him.

I guess this should give people like me a hint, but some of us will never learn. ..
