    LIVE Space Shuttle Mission Webcast

Exactly how it sounds, no scams.

Wow. It's like listening to ATC in space accompanied by video. Wow.

    Wow.

Added to the short list of really cool things our tax dollars pay for:

    -PBS HDTV Channel
    -Weather.gov
    -NASA live video from space

Looks like they're doing some repairs on the outside of the space station right now.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

I've had this thing running for the past four hours, and it's insane...it's not like ATC by any stretch of the imagination.

    It's BETTER! lol

The astronauts are going to sleep right now...

    Get this:

LGA's runways are all 7,000 feet long.

The space shuttle is moving at 17,000mph.

It would take the space shuttle 0.28 seconds to travel the entire length of 22, 04, 13, or 31.

    Pretty cool, I think.

That's insane. You wouldn't even see it when it did the fly-by of the LGA tower. :)

The whole mission seems to have really sparked some interest in the programme, so many people are talking about Nasa and Space again, it's great.

The complexity and work involved reminds me of just what an amazing thing space exploration is.

They're working on Discovery right now, with Steve Robinson's helmet camera showing some incredible things...he just pulled out another gap filler as I type this.

Insane! The live show may be over in a little bit, but they should be rebroadcasting it later on. I suggest you all tune in.
