Spotter Alert: AA 762 to LGA Twice on Sunday 7-31

Seems like every time I work a morning shift (my normal shift is 1300-2130) I get a nice surprise. Today (Sunday 7-31) i saw an AA762 rolling out on 4, turned on the Tower freq, call sign AA9679, checked flight tracker, ferry from JFK. Called AA tower.all my contacts where off but got a friendly woman to give me details, due to a broken 757 at LGA, the 762 ferried over to run delayed 953 (new ETD 0930) to MIA, then 986 back to LGA, ETA 1619, then ferry back to JFK. I will update this thread with an ETA when 986 is enroute , if we stay on 4 someone should be at Plaineview for this one, I am giving 7 hours advance notice

Ron, I might make a quick run over to Planeview to catch the AA 762 if arrivals stay on 04. Keep me posted....I'd have to leave here around 3:30ish to guarantee that I don't miss it arrive at 4:19.

For Josh and anyone else who wants to catch this, based on the updated forecasted winds LGA should stay on a depart 13 land 4 configuiration. And as an added bonus AC 748 from YUL ETA 1617 is showing a sub from a 319 to a E-175, I predict F/N 372, not the mostly photographed 371.

Wow, it sounds like the 762 could theoretically follow right behind the AC E175. Now I'll definitely be out there! Ron, would you mind posting an updated ETA at around 3:15? Thanks!

Correction, Ron, AC's website is showing AC748 as delayed with an ETA of 1657...but the timetable for today does list the flight as an E175.

Little biit of bad news, the winds have shifted to the SE so LGA is now landing on 22. They may swing back to the NE so I will keep you posted. AA 986 is enroute from MIA with an early ETA of 1606, probably ferry out around 1630-1700 Below is the flight tracker from this mornings ferry from JFK, note the total flight time.

Sorry Josh winds are right aroun 170 so despite the forecast in Metar looks land 22 for now. Sorry for the hype, with the Metar TAF forecast I thought for sure we would be landing 4 all day.

Ron, what's the ETD for the ferry flight back to JFK? If 13 is the departure runway, I might still be interested in grabbing one of those classic banking departure shots from the pedestrian walkway over the GCP.

Josh, have not been able to find it yet but I am guessing between 1630-1700, should be a SUPER short takeoff and steep climbout. Will post if I can find out.

OKay the AA Ferry is built Flt 9600 at 1740L and as an added bonus F9 departs to DEN at 1735 and it is BRAND NEW 319 N943FR which only has one photo on a.net so far.. N102DA Spirit of Delta just pushed back and two E-175's headed our way, starting to get interesting,
come on out guys, still landing 22 .

Well she is in JFK now after a slow 12 minute flight over to JFK. Think I got a couple of nice shots, when she passed my location she was allready in the right bank with the gear up and doors closing, very pretty sight and departed only 5 mins behind N102DA.
