On July 20th, 1969, the longest flight ever taken by humans arrived on the surface on the Moon. A truly amazing feat, considering how difficult it would still be today to perform such a flight despite our technological advances. It is said the average modern automobile has more computing power than Apollo 11 did. We haven't tried again since Apollo 17 in 1972.
In honor of the anniversary, Google has some fun stuff online.
