The sand in the parking lot just to the upper right of the shadow is the remnants of Mets Fireworks Night three nights prior to when the photo taken. 13 was used for departures that night too, which would have been an awesome sight to see from the right side of a climbing jet, though impossible to photograph. Departures were moving slightly to their left to avoid the shells, which were exploding only very slightly lower than the altitude of most of the take offs at that point.
