Last summer, Southwest brought in a plane to LGA for some reason, I forget why. They were flying some execs around or it was for press or something. I saw it, but was unable to grab a photo of it. Ron Pell might have one.
I think it might have been there first of one of the 737 versions or something, I don't quite remember the significance.

Couldn't find any at Newark.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
To emphasize the explanation for the LGA visit, here is the remark form Ron's photo:
Very rare photo, brand new WN 73G N463WN at LGA. WN was here in conjunction with their 33rd Birthday, 2nd quarter results announcements and the delivery of their 400th 737 (463 is actually the 399th). This aircraft operated a 2 hour LGA to LGA flight so that WN CEO Jim Parker and other WN execs could hold an in-flight press conferance for Wall Street analysts and New York based national media. 1940's era building in the background is the LGA home of Flight Safety !

Why am I not surprised that Ron Peel has the rare WN shot from LGA and Mike M. has the rare WN shot from JFK? :) Seriously, those are great shots. However, as someone who just spent a week in PHX, WN doesn't seem so exciting at the moment. :)

seeing maryland one at JFK or LGA would be exciting

Hell yeah that would be nice, but I've been there and done that in PHX:Originally Posted by N790SW

I had little to no notice that Maryland One was coming in to PHX while I was there (it only came in once during my entire trip), and it was coming in at roughly the same time I was scheduled to finish my C172 flight across town. Needless to say, when I landed I jumped in the car and sped to PHX to catch Maryland One departing. Awesome plane.

Yes, WN has been to EWR as well. Not sure what brought the aircraft there, but one was in the background of a (print) shot I took around 1999/2000.
Its a large enough fleet; they get around.
