Yes, that guy Fred Miller does some good stuff. :)

Nice seeing an American F100 in one of those shots in line for a 31 departure.

Thanks alberchico, I had fun on that ride! I just wish I had my second set of batteries! I turned my camera on as we started the copter and they were flashing dead!!!!! First and last time that had happened! Still managed to get around 60+ shots.

Fred, how much did that chopper ride cost? How many people were able to go (and were able to shoot pictures)?

I'll just say Fred is one of the luckiest people I know. I'll let him tell the story.

October 2003 I am at Farmingdale Republic airport and see a CHERRY
Beech 18 pull up. I have seen her many times and happened to have this
picture on me just in case I happen to see the pilot. (If I was him, I
would love a shot like this on my wall)

    http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=127716

As soon as the props stopped and he got out, I jump out of my car and
start yelling and waiving to him, COME HERE.

A employee lets me in and I give a 4X7 of this picture to the pilot and
thank him of keeping the aircraft here for me to take pictures of her and
on and on and on…. He hands me the picture back and asked if I can
send him an E-mail with the picture. I explain that the Photo WAS for him
and I would gladly send him a copy for his backround.
Let me say that he knew of me because of my friend that worked at the
    airport.

He loved the picture asked me If I would like to go for a ride. This was
the first time that I had forgot to check my batteries and left the FRESH
set in the car, DOH! 65pictures due to dead batteries!!!!!!! got all I
needed! Can you say LUCKY!!!!

The reason we went for this flight was to bring the pilots wife and friend to
LGA for a ATA flight. It was neat watching all the aircraft lined up waiting
for us to clear the airspace!

We arrived and an airport shuttle van pulled next to us (But not that close
because the rotors never stopped). I was next to the door so I dropped
my camera next to me and Jumped out real fast (Yes I ducked my head).
Helped the two ladies out and then Jumped back in. It was cool to say the
least! The pilots wife told me that she did not like her husbands
plane, “the Beech 18 is tooo slow!”. Chicks!

The ride home I had all 8 seats to my self! That was some feeling, I am
sure the pilot hated me jumping from side to side getting all the pictures
while throwing the weight left and right. Who am I kidding, that no
    R22! :P

Anyone can do the same thing, Here is how....

TIP:When you see a guy walking down the tarmac and you have a picture
of his plane, Jump around like crazy waving your hands like a complete
idiot. Hell, It works for me.

That summer I flew over LI in a 172 (Lots of pictures of about 10 flights)
    Flew to Block Island
    Flew to Fishers Island
Flew around LI in a Piper Warrior (and about 3 more flights in that plane)
B-17 ride on the north shore of Long Island
    Connie Matts, 2 JFK flyby's
    And now this!

That was the Greatest summer and definitely an unachievable goal if I
tried again! This is all possible due to the kind nature of all pilots! Pilots
rule and I am glad to call some of them my friends!!!!!

I know your flight was through connections, so I'm not going to go ape**** over that...the only question I have is why this lady took a private helicopter ride to LGA just to catch a commercial airline flight.

    What, their GV went technical?

The pilot owned a Beech 18 and two other aircraft that he uses for kicks.....I would guess his boss pays him a bit for flying him into NYC each morning and let night. I would also think that he may let him take the aircraft out for fun at times...............Just guessing
