Does anyone have an idea why this A346 came from Osaka instead of Bangkok, and why it has the weird arrival/departure times (i.e., not the times for flight 790/791)?
well here it is, came in just before 5:30, the weather cleared just enough to get some sunlight.

Nice shot eric! Does anyone know why everything was all different?
Eric's done it again! We shouldn't tell you when special things like this come in anymore...your shots are just too good. Well done. :)

Nice shot Eric,
We got that plane from both angles! Yes, I did go to the Bridge to get my shots. Here it is shot number 2.

Does anyone know why the THA A346 was at JFK let alone comming from Osaka, Japan?
It when it departed it flew to Bangkok
Senga
Senga, you're in luck, our good friend Monty's been on top of things...
LongreachAU: cos the 345 went technical and it had to stop in KIX to get juice
So seems as if the passengers were stranded in Osaka and A345 #2 wasn't available...not complaining!

Brian
it went technical in BKK so the 346 was assigned...the 346 can't do BKK-JFK-BKK without a stop and KIX is that stop, they use KIX because it's already a TG port of call enroute to the USA, think LAX-BKK stops in Osaka on certain days of the week. just a fuel stop, not pax were offloaded or added.
also, the TG flight from BKK-JFK on 19 june which was diverted to Anchroage was due to medical emergencey with the passenger later passing away.
Whoops, guess I was a little off target. :)
Thanks for clearing it up, Mont.

The TG A340-600 was back at JFK today, I assume another tech. issue.
