    Congrats to Ron Peel

As of a few minutes ago, Ron Peel has the most popular shot of the last 24 hours on airliners.net! The picture is a nice aerial view of JFK.

    Good job, Ron!

    Josh

P.S. - After reading the caption in your photo, I hope this doesn't mean I have to start taking pictures at 0612 in order for them to make it to the front page of airliners.net. :)

Wow, yes, great shot. A great view of the back (north) cargo area.

Thanks Josh and Phil, that was taken from a US EMB-145 LGA-PHL enroute to AI 2004 in LAX, ironically
taken about 3 hours before Phil's most popular LGA shot, must have been some lucky dust in the skies
above New York that morning. Feels pretty good to beat all those current and Great Paris Air Show shots !

    Thanks Again Guys

Hah, I don't remember YOU going to LAX, Josh...

Incredible shot, Ron...I've been wanting an airport overview just like that for a long time. That's in addition to airside shots of C-17s at LGA. And 727s. And Airbus SuperTransporters. And...

    Who's 'da man? RON! :)

    great job buddy...

on another not... it's jus proof that a "little" camera in the hands of a good photog can do as much damage as a big cam in the hands of a bad photog...

it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

I wholeheartedly, 100%, absolutely, unequivocally agree with that statement.

Ron's work is impressive, exactly for the reasons stated. Also, keep in mind that many of his shots are through thick airport window glass. I can hardly get good shots through that glass, I have no idea how he does it.

If Ron ever gets a DSLR, I'm retiring because I wouldn't stand a chance anymore! lol

Wow that is a great shot.

Many JFK overview shots are from other angles.

In this one we get to see the layout of bay these days, and the cargo areas..which have changed some over the years. Not to mention all that dense housing around the airport.

    Congrats Ron!
