Final Delta 767-400 at LGA 5/31/05

Well, folks, she's come and gone. Hopefully we'll get the -400 back later this year, but at this point, the climatic noon departure of this beast is no more.

    Arrived as:
    DAL506
    LGA 1012
    767-400

    Departed as:
    DAL1089
    LGA 1229
    767-400

Does anybody know if there was a water canon salute? I know Phil was in the area, don't know if he got a few shots off. I saw it from school...

I didn't get any photos as I didn't bring my camera.

I'm doubting there was a water cannon salute.

    LGA just got smaller. :(

Anyone have any idea on what the chances are of this coming back?

I am also doubting very much there was a water cannon salute. It is very common for airlines to upgrade/downgrade aircraft for a particular route, and they aren't going to do a water cannon salute every time that happens. Unfortunately, we spotters are the only ones who really care about this kind of thing.

I think this year is really shaping up to be the Year of JFK, and the disappearance of the 764 at LGA just reinforces that. Still sad, though...

Josh, you're absolutely right. I remember everybody going crazy over CanJet, JetsGo, WestJet, and jetBlue. Now only one of those are still going strong (arguably), and we're still losing traffic that has been around much longer.

Well, as they say, there's only one way to go at this point...

Final Delta 767-400 at LGA 5/31/05: Or is it?

Flytecomm is reporting a 764 operating DAL506 ATL-LGA today, 6/1/05. Did they really pull them? Can anyone (Ron) verify this?

    No complaints! :)

Futt, its around 1100A, I am at work on overtime, I just read your comment, I turned around
jjust as DL 764 N842MH taxied by . Today is the first day of DL's new schedule and it
appears to be a one day schedule with numerous equipment subs, common on the first
day of a new sched or last day of an old one. This morning about 0415 as I drove by the
DL Terminal on the employee bus I noticed a 732 on Gate 4. When I got to work I checked in
Sabre and DL's 0600 departure to CVG was indeed showing a 732 for today only. BTW it was N320DL.

I felt the Delta 737-200 flights were worthy of its own thread considering that it is a new scheduled service.

So now you can view Mike's post HERE.

So a new one goes out, and an old one comes in? Now that's some good scheduling on Delta's part.

Haha, yeah, I tried to find a small violin when I saw the -300 on flytecomm...

I did notice, though, that CanJet was not listed for today. I know they revised their schedule, but I can't remember what the new one is...any idea?

Brian, CanJet's 735 was here around the normal time, 1545 departure.
