    Westjet 737-800W at LGA 5/31/05

Westjet's 738 with winglets finally paid us a visit today.

    Arrival:
    WJA932
    LGA 1127
    737-800

    Departure
    WJA933
    LGA 1222
    737-800

Too bad they're only around for another month...

I also saw this depart. I didn't realize it was an -800 though.

I think I got some nice shots of this beauty, really lucked out,
even though we were landing 22, departing 13 her gate was
occupied so ground brought her all the way down to Zulu to hold
so got her taxiing by me twice. When she first started sitting around
Juliet on Alpha I spotted her and even though I could only see
from the front I said to myself I think that's the -800. No offense
to Phil's love for ATA's great scheme I think this was the best looking
738 I have seen so far ! Since it may be a few days before I can
upload a few photo's here is one of my favorites.

That teal just doesn't do it for me. But if that's your style, Ron, I'm not here to judge. ;)

WJ has just the one 738 in service (although a 2nd was delivered this week). It seems to be rotating through the system on regular 73G routes so it may well appear in LGA again before WJ pulls out.

Incidently, WJ will return to LGA when they can get better slots suited to the business traveller, a morning arrival in LGA about 9am and again about 5pm.

Ah thanks LGA777! I'm insanely jealous of you guys. 3 big local airports to spot at. I use to fly to LGA on business years ago, but no more. I miss it.

YYZ717 come down for a visit sometime, us locals can be pretty helpful sometimes to you
"out of towners". Heck wait till August and maybe you can hitch a ride with Air Canada
    on the 175 !

    Cheers LGA777
