I was shooting arrivals and departures in front of Home Depot and Ruby Tuesdays. This Hawk swooped right in and perched a top a light pole and hung around for a while. Also got pics of a family of Canadian Geese on the other side near Comp USA. Will post them soon.

Yeah, it really was a good show. I hadn't been to an airshow in a while, and I had a great time at this one. The one thing that struck me was how they managed to keep the performances running pretty much back to back. There weren't too many dull moments.

Wow, not to pat myself on the back, but I am sure happy I extended an invite to GrummanFan! A great guy to have around as a new local friend.

I've been so busy with dumb stuff that I keep missing these shows! I'm so eager to get out there more. Keep us posted on stuff, Grumman!!

    Where did you see that?

I was up in Sullican County this weekend and saw a ton of Eagles soaring above us in Livingston Manor. Pretty wild!
Sorry it took so long Mario. Here is this guy I saw at FRG on the top of a light pole in the parking lot of Home Depot. I left it big so you can make out the detail. Its not the best quality but you can get a good look at one of these Raptors.

Nick, can you make that photo a little bigger? I can't really see it.

    Sorry Phil,

Just wanted to show the detail on this bird of prey, we rarely see these birds of prey up close.

Thanks. Hope Mario gets here and sees it soon. Look at those eyes. I love hawks they are so awesome. We have a family of them at the club and I see them a lot. They are murder on the squirrels. I saw the father rip one to shreads last fall. Nasty!
