    Your favorite NYC Picture

There are many beautiful places to take pictures around the NYC area....the question is where are some of your favorite places... I have some beautiful photographs of the Brooklyn Bridge, Midtown at dusk/night..... (You need not have a camera to reply..... if you know of a beautiful scenic place please tell us about your little spot in the big city)

(I am sure others will like my other shots much better than this one, but it was one that I like.....you should see the 8MP version!)

Wow, that is a great shot, Derf! Welcome aboard with a great first post. :)

I've got lots of city photgoraphy, this one, though does not have too many known buildings in the skyline, is interesting to know that it is in fact NYC.

Nice! I have many skyline shots too....... Maybe we should make a separate thread! ahahah

Thanks for the Nice welcome Phil, look forward to seeing you again this summer.

Here are some of my old shots from around Long Island.... http://fromtheflightdeck.com/Long%20Isl ... %20island/ Yep, I am an Islander and not a city boy, but I do like to visit often.
(These were take with my old Olympus, I now have a new Rebel XT now and can really do some damage!)

I can not believe that my first post in an aviation forum did not contain an aircraft picture so, since we are doing skylines... I will post two!

Photo I took 3 weeks before 9/11. Returning to LGA from MCO via the Expressway Visual on a Delta 732.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

I took this when I was in NYC last week:

The building to the right is blocking the rest of the sunset which made me a bit angry (but, I think the picture looks better having a building on each side, even if one is a bit longer than the other). :-P
