Was just standing outside the office and VP-BDJ just came in from IAD - wish I'd had a long range camera - looked nice in the midday PBI sunshine!

Heard a very interesting story about Trump the other night. A friend is a retired Grumman engineer, and still active with their historic society, as well as the FRG historic society - he's set up the displays of photos & model aircraft in the terminal.

Back in December, the crew from The Apprentice" were at FRG for a day of shooting. They took over the terminal building, since they really liked the historic photos and such, but moved in some very plush furniture and stuff, and filmed scenes for the show. Apparently, the highlight of the day was the 5 (!) low passes the Trump 727 made over the field for film purposes. He said they pissed off much of the Farmingdale neighborhood doing this.

He said they were told the scenes would be shown some time in February, but no specific date. I don't watch the show, but now I may need to set it up in the VCR.

    Hi Guys,

In about 2 hours I will have the pleasure of seeing Trumps 727 for the very first time. Its doing PBI - IAD runs.
The weather is very crappy over here in DC but I'll go and shoot it anyway.

    Hi Guys,

Finally got it! Weather didn't cooperate, but hey, who cares :) As a bonus, I've got private DC-9-10

    Hey people,

Trump is due into LGA at 1315 from VQQ. Looks like they're using 31 for arrivals right now.

He is notorious for being late in departing, so I don't think anyone should leave their homes to get it until they know he is in the air and inbound.

Watch that and let's see what happens.

He landed on time on Expressway Visual 31.

Unfortunately, the sole cloud in the sky gave us bad light when the plane was in the ideal position. We did have light when he was a little further out (tight crop), and for the rear 3/4 angle.

I'm working ona few thigns right now and editing photos for something else, but if I get a chance tonight, I'll psot them. Honestly, I was a little disappointed and I was considering not even emptying the photos onto my computer until the next time I go shooting. We'll see.
