What Would Make You Run to the Airport?

What realistic occurances would make you jsut leave work or school and just run top speed to the airport?

    My list, so far, includes:

    - Plane crash at LGA

    - L-1011 or DC-10 enroute to LGA

    You?

If my schedule permits, I tend to go to NAS/JRB Willow Grove when I know something exotic is supposed to come in. The last time that was in effect, I caught two F/A-18 Hornets coming in.

I wish I lived closer to an airport/air base without having to pay any tolls!

A Concorde returning would get me there :D
Oh wait, you said "realistic" - well, I did leave work to watch Air Force 1 (the C-32 version) arrive at FRG. Of course, my boss was also out there that day, so I couldn't get any grief for it.

    Sun? :)

I remember leaving work sick to catch the first Swiss Air A330 that was arriving JFK in old colors but new SWISS titles. I've taken a few other sick days for similar hot/new items.

it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

DL 762s are not that uncommon. We even get the 75th Anniversary here and there.

Any other airline than WN, COX, ASA, DL Conn, and USX, and any other airplane than a B737, CRJ, SF 340, and B1900.

    Can you guess which airport?

    A runway accident at LGA.
    US Airways returning to JFK.
A 741 classic (meaning 3 upper-deck windows) in passenger service.

727 @ LGA (besides trump) C-17 @ LGA, AF1 @ JFK, some sort of runway incident(no injuries) at either airport.
