This seems to be gettig very exciting with all these nice planes coming in.

I've almsot lost track of everyone in the community. Who is going? More importantly, who will be taking photos and sharing them here with us?

i'm about 99.9% sure that i'll be there. as to what time i'll be there i dont know yet. definately in the am sometime, probably around 1000-1030. what i'm thinking is that we all ought to get together to have lunch at the 56th. give me a call if you're there and want to meet me. i'll be wearing khaki shorts, blue polo, white team oracle hat. of course i'll have my big black nikon around my neck.

    my cell number is 347,728,8139.

hope to see you all there!

one more question, anybody know what planes are already there at FRG? are Boeing or Airbus going to show?
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

    NBAA Thursday

Well I'll definitely be there....shuffling between the office to cover new requests and then mingling at the vendor booths to actually viewing the static displays. Yes I'm an insider, and I do not know if taking pics will be "pc" especially with my boss around, but if others are doing it, I'll bring the camera along. I have a shot from them staging today the new Citation Soverign (C680) Tail N63TM...but I have no idea how to post it....if anyone can shed some light it would be appreciated.

Slightly off-topic, but what's Team Oracle, Matt? It's a nice little logo...

have you ever heard of sean tucker? team oracle is his flight display team. he's based out in KSNS: salinas, california. i got to know him pretty well whe i was out there this last time for the airshow. he's a really cool guy... and an insane pilot! Oracle is the company that sponsors him. he used to be the 1-800-COLLECT guy but when oracle came on board he changed the color of the airplane and got nw wins for it too. the black wings that say 1-800-COLLECT still hang in his hangar in KSNS.

Sean is, in my opinion, the best aerobatic pilot in the airshow circuit. Great guy, one of the friendliest people in the airshow industry, flies one of the most beautiful Pitts aircraft you'll ever see.

I'll get to see him fly at Langley AFB (VA), Quonset Point (RI), and maybe Nellis AFB (NV) as well. Here's some shots of Sean in action:

well i wonder if anyone other than myself made it onto the ramp at the NBAA forum a FRG today. it only cost me $50 but was well worth it. i had the opportunity to have lunch onbaord a G-V, then dessert on a Challenger 604. what i was really after were the cockpits of these beautiful birds. well, since i was deemed the official delegate from US Airways the company reps really schmoozed me all day long. i came home with a new hat from aviation partners, lanyards from gulfstream and jeppesen, enough literature to fill the library of congress and about 20 contact numbers for guysand gals in the corporate aviation field. represented today were aviation partners, bombardier, cessna, dassault, gulfstream, sikorsky and piaggio. i didn't bother going into the hangar since i was being taken care of outside. i even got ride back to the LIRR train station, courtessey of the NBAA. sorry, but for now the pix are going to have to wait, i don't have the time to edit and resize and post them tonight.

was there anyone else there or was i the only one?

    Matt -

Looking forward to the pictures. Hope you got some good stuff.

I really regret not being able to attend, but unfortunately I had no choice this time around.

    Matt -

I was there for part of the day (1-4), part on the ramp and part inside networking. Tell me that G550 was not a SWEET ride...and Angie on board wasn't bad either. Unfortunately, my boss was also out there, so me walking around with a camera would not have looked too good. So I also eagerly await your photos, especially if you got any of N345LC (my companies G4SP) or our helo that was running some demo flights N214TD. Glad you had a good time, it was a very decent show. Turnout was larger than they expected.

Sorry I wasn't able to get out there - I'm literally 2 minutes away, and I didn't even have that much free time yesterday.

My favorite newspaper (since they sign my paychecks :D ) did have coverage of the event:
