Also keep in mind that Saturday morning will mark the last ever Singapore 747 arrival to JFK. (Barring equipment subs if the A380 breaks down).

    SIA is retiring the type.

I assume if we get a sub it will be a 777, as there will be no more 747's
It's hard to take chances but sometimes it's better if you do

I would definitely go for a T7 or A340 sub. Since we get neither in SIA colors at JFK

A 340 would be a treat though looking at their fleet and their abundance of 777s I would think we would get that.

No more Megatop412's??? Screw that, I'm keeping my handle.

Wait, if the 743 was Big Top and 744 Megatop, the A380 would be....Colosso Top? Google Top?(insert sarcastic trumpet notes here)

Today, I heard from someone who knows someone...that the A380 won't be on the route until the flight arriving on Monday.

Looking at their on-line reservation calendar, SQ26, flying SIN-FRA-JFK is a 747-400 on the flight which arrives on Sunday:

The flight which departs SIN on Sunday, January 15, and arrives at JFK on Monday, does show as an A380...

I thought it was weird that there was an inaugural on a Sunday. I'll still be down though. Most likely will only be around the airport on Saturday if this is in fact the case.

Despite what their on-line schedule says, I heard that the arrival is scheduled for 9:30 Monday morning, so you might want to make sure you don't miss it.

Upon further review, the press release does say January 16th.
