    BOS - Oct 26 & 27 (Image Heavy)

Posting delayed due to Sandy, follow up storm, and frankly work has kept me too busy to edit. So finally, I can share some of the images from my very brief trip to BOS.

I spent about 2 hours there on the 26th, at the time they were on the 22's so I tried Constitution Beach. Unfortunately this was a poor choice due to the sun's angle, oh well live and learn. I was able to salvage a few for the personal collection, that was it.

Luckily the winds shifted, and they went to up & down the 4's, and I grabbed this departure on my way out of Constitution Beach

I shot over to Pleasure Bay, and grabbed these frames, lighting here was awesome as it was later in the afternoon...

I know this one is backlit to hell, but to see these colors again was pretty cool

Was about to leave when I saw this one coming. I can now cross another one off the list...

Saturday morning I headed out early. Being they were still on the 4's I went to Fort Independence. Unfortunately a low overcast rolled in, and I had to settle for an hour of shots like this:

Thankfully the skies cleared and I came away with these:

    N848UA - United Airlines - Airbus 319 by lijk604, on Flickr

Didn't think I'd see these titles anymore

    N277SK - Chautaqua - Embraer 145 by lijk604, on Flickr

But finally...this is the shot that made the short trip worth it.

Great set! What's up with the tail on that Saab? The rudder has its half of the NW logo but the tail itself doesn't? What kind of maintenance could have led to that?

A can of paint? Happens a lot when aircraft are recycled from old carriers to new to save a few bucks, until a full paint is really needed.

Interesting- I thought they threw on a replacement rudder and the one they had on hand just happened to have the logo on it
