I got up early to try and make it out in case it would leave in the morning. It didn't look like it would be ready THAT early.

Didn't matter Not enough light. I am going to print a picture of Jason Whitebird and throw darts at it.

Actually sunrise is when the sun first begins to break the horizon Eric so depending on what you are trying to shoot you need the sun to get a little higher, especially departures that usually takes more than 20 mins. Not to mention broken clouds where everywhere.

Nice. Glad y'all got the Dreamlifter catch.
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

Well I have been at Bayswater at Sunrise, and I have gotten great shots. if this plane left a half hour after sunrise that should be plenty of light. just saying.

We had it down here in MIA for the longest time too - work on the wings - never in a good spot to get a clear shot though....

Cary, I knew you would curse us... We just happen to be lucky, that's all... absolutely zero planning. Etihad F1 was the same for me... only rare special I did expect (thanks to Mark "Zee71") was Swiss San Fran, and that blew chunks since it was ppor weather and they totally screwed us on the landing config!
