But with it being at Islip there's pretty much no chance of getting near it right?

When they stopped at FRG a few years back, they opened it to the public. They had some school groups and such taking tours, but the general public was able to go on board as well.

Very nice Fred! Thanks for the info, I registered ... let's see what happens.
Thanks Fred! Signed up as well and see what happens.
Cool shots!

I registered also but still haven't heard anything yet about Monday at ISP also??
FYI- Just saw this link on the NWS Twitter and it looks like that after you register all you have to do
is just show up on Monday between 2:30 - 5:00 at the parking lot indicated below on the ISP Map.

I didn't hear anything either after signing up but figured i'd just head over and see what happens but good to know. And saw the tweet too, looks like the WC-130 will be there!

I never received anything from them and turned out had something come up that day. Did anyone go?

I only took a few shots. For the C-130 I had to clone out a tripod that a media individual put smack in the middle and it was an eye sore.
You didn't have to wait to hear from them. A lot of people were confused by that but all you had to do was register which was weir because no one stopped you to check if you did. I went but after standing on line for about 45 minutes and only moved about 10 feet i had to leave.
