Thanks guys! I ended up shooting first at this baseball field on 130th PL but the planes would turn too soon causing them to become back lit, so I moved across the street near 125th st and s conduit and that was a good spot. I just stood on the side walk and shot. No one said anything and several police cars drove passed without any problems.
Here are some of mine from T5 yesterday 13L landings.

Heat haze galore from up there.

Nice set Don! Another spot for 13L arrivals is on Nassau Expressway on the zebra strips. Usually there are lots of vehicles parked there and waiting. Just be careful there as vehicles are zooming past. There you will have to shoot from inside your car.
Nice shots Don! Yes heat haze was a big problem yesterday.
I need to try t5 one day!! Great shots don, we need to have a small group up there, there is strength in numbers!

Canarsie,simply rocks !!!
The beehive hummm of the JT9D and GE CF680C2,the thunder of the JT8D-17,the rumble of the PW1830 and the high ,thin whine of the PW 545A are all music to my ears!
Canarsie gives us amazing photo opportunities!
