    727 at SWF

I saw a wingletted 727 on approach while driving near SWF around 3:15p today. It wasn't anything I recognized (and no titles that I could see), but I do remember it had a small bluish widget at the back of the tail. My best guess is it was something like: or Anyone know what it was?

Ahh thanks, that could quite possibly be it. If only I had stopped at the airport to spot instead of going to a lighthouse instead

A light on the Hudson, before heading up past SWF Of course, I happened to drive past just as a rare 727 was on final.

Cary, it's possible it was N31TR as she is based at the airport in one of the Atlantic Aviation hangars.

Hmm...possibly, but I could have sworn it had a widget near the back of the tail, and the rest of the tail was white. Maybe the scheme has changed a little? Too bad all my cameras were in the trunk at the time.

I was just up there flying today...too bad I was flying, I would have been able to see it if it was out. There was a BBJ that took off while I was on downwind...granted I was 1,000' above it and about a mile away, it looked a LOT more like an -800 than a -700. I can only imagine what kind of gems are hidden in those massive hangars at SWF.
Have you ever seen a grown man naked?

I saw this guy depart JFK, no shots of it though.
It's hard to take chances but sometimes it's better if you do
