Year ain't over yet...
For the subject more so than the quality of the shot...thanks again, Ron, it's my catch of the year!
I love this shot of the Warthog returning home to Republic, with everything hanging out.
Chris B making a high speed pass during the Jones Beach Air Show.
A simple shot, but I keep coming back to it, loving the light (and the shadow of the spinner) on the prop disk.
And through another year filled with amazing photographic adventures, I can't leave out my partner in crime, Fred...

You guys have posted some great shots already. Here are a few of my top shots from 2011. Thanks to some tips and help from so many talented photographers I hope to raise the bar for myself in 2012.
from January at Ikea...
to Philly with my D70s
to my first visit to HoBe since 2000:
to the first LH A380 at JFK
to my trip to Lafayette IN to record an album with my old heavy metal band(and get some spotting in at KLAF)
to my B-17 ride in June
to my kickass trip to Germany in July
to catching Shamu approaching PHL from my back deck while I sipped cold beer in August
to my visit to G-BOAD on September 11
to catching a Lear in house colors at the start of Autumn
I'd say I had a damn good year taking pictures of planes and talking with you all.

Wow, some incredible shots here!
My two favorites for 2011 happen to both be Anet rejections. Both accepted on other sites, and even Flickr accepted them, go figure.
