Amazing. There is really that much traffic between HK and NY? Wonder if CX will stop the YVR/JFK leg in the future.

I have flown Cathay's. JFK - HKG route six times, twice with YVR stop. ALL OF MY FLIGHTS in both directions had at least 90% loads. With Cathay's excellent service, 15+ hour non stop has never been bad experience. Lastly, Cathay always have marketed
aggressively with lots of sale on these flights.

They will do great with 4/day.

I second that, Cathay's Service is great. 16 hours never went by so fast.

16 hours on a plane, Jesus H. Cristo

I think I would go bananas after that much time locked in a metal cylinder

You know, It was the one(roundtrip) and only time i've done it and i thought it was going to be crazy long, but with the entertainment, sleeping, being able to hang out in the galley for a couple hours it was really not bad. After the first 6 hours, you say to yourself, another 10 to go.lol

My longest flight ever was to Hawaii on Delta MD-11 which was I think 13 hours... it was really not bad at all... three two hour movies and a lot of sleeping... lucky for us we had the seats right by the door and had tons of room to lay out.
