Sorry for the late notice on this, meant to post it earlier. This Thursday and Friday, Sept. 23 & 24, Republic Airport will be holding their annual Aviation Career Days. The program is geared toward high school students, and a number of schools do bring in buses of students, but the program is open to anyone who wishes to attend. I believe door open at 9am (but certainly by 10) both days. The program is held at the main terminal on Rt 110, and includes displays by various aviation-related companies and educational institutions, as well as a variety of aircraft on display. For access to the ramp for the aircraft displays you will need to show a photo ID.
Display aircraft include an HH-60 Pavehawk on Thursday, and an HC-130 on Friday, both out of the 106th Rescue Wing. In the past, there have been a handful of biz jets, some of the AAM war birds, and the News 12 helicopter on display.
