The difference between the F-18 and the CF-18 is that light. Canada does a lot of operations for NORAD and that spotlight allows them to identify aircraft tail numbers ect; when it's dark.

The demo, which you all know by now, at FRG was cancelled. I talked to a Cobra pilot at Eisenhower and he toldOriginally Posted by Gerard
me that because of all the planes parked at FRG they decided to cancel. The demo was SPECTACULAR but that'll be on
the Fleet Week thread!! :D
AND I just got to FRG in time. JUST in time. Parked by the Crazy Donkey and walked down 110 just as they came
sweeping across from the NE.
Then checked out the "Meet and Greet" which was pretty cool.
Considering making my first visit to FRG tomorrow to see the assembled hardware. Where's the best place to park and see the ramp where all of the military is stationed?
Mateo, I recommend going to the American Airpower Museum. Pay the fare to get in and walk out onto the ramp where you can see just about everything. I was there most of the morning yesterday and had a blast!

Would anybody happen to know when the two US Navy F/A-18's are leaving as well as the CAF-18's? Thanks.

I think the Navy guys left this afternoon, don't have a definite time for the CF-18, I think I heard around 10:30am Monday.
