    787 sees the light & KPAE 5/3/09

Came out to the fuel docks today from the paint hangar. I missed the rollout by 5 minutes, and had to settle for under par, sketchy shooting instead. They hid it conveniently behind the an LCF, so I apologize for the extreme lack of quality.
A BA772 and a Kalitta 742 got add to the mix!

Ohhhh.....sexy....I wonder if they have a rescheduled date set for the first flight yet?? That's going to be a heck of a catch Jeremy!

Nice effort, Jeremy. Too bad you didn't catch her, you likely would have produced better results than these official Boeing photos...

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

I get chills. To think that I knocked on that bird and the bottom sounded like the hull of my racing shell in college.

Amazing whats to be done with carbon fibers
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

Thanks...the BA & Kalitta made up for it! They picked a crappy time of day to do it though. About 1pm with a high sun...plus the only place that I could've safely (and probably legally) gone was the future of flight lot - and the few people who were there had awful heat haze. It was a no win matter what. Now if I were the Boeing photographer...that'd be different :-)

    Great pictures!

Any idea what the little window that looks like it is above the FO's head is for?

Cockpit skylight? I did not see one on the Captain's side.

There's the reason for all the delays - fixing the dents Mario put in her! :D

You don't see it in the Boeing shot that Matt posted - I wonder if it's an access door or cockpit escape hatch?

That's a escape hatch not a skylight, lol
