Actually, I take that back. It works for posts with one page (or where the new post is on the first page) but not when the new post is on a later page.Originally Posted by pgengler

Argh. Does it give a dead page or does it just lead to the first page?
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.

It leads to the first page.

The icon to go to the first unread post does not work, it comes back with a 404 error.
Just figured I'd bring this up again, since it's still an issue. Any possibility of a solution for this?Originally Posted by pgengler

Sorry about that Phil. I'm researching the solution now.

Update: This is now fixed. Thanks for the reminder.Originally Posted by pgengler

It's still not working for me. I just got the "new post in thread" e-mail about the "JFK might be a real cluster this summer thread" and the new post is on page 2.
The e-mail contains this link (which should go directly to the new post):
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=15072&p=110705&e=110705
When I click that, I end up at:
jfk-might-be-a-real-cluster-this-summer-t15072.html-sid=931d5e580f202c510eff94aea11aeb5d#p110705
(which is page 1 of the thread)
Clicking the "direct to this post" link for the new post gives me this URL:
jfk-might-be-a-real-cluster-this-summer-p110705.html#p110705
Without knowing what's happening on the back end for the URL rewrites, it seems like it should be possible to look for a URL with a p= parameter and write it to be the "<thread title>-p<post id>" format instead of "<thread title>-t<thread id>".
