this was what happened as I was told
The helicopter was flying in Nigera and had an issue in NYC where it hit the tail rotor or damaged the tail (not sure). They started to fix it an the more they worked on it, the more they found it needed more attention than anyone expected. There is a sister ship and apparently that is in such bad shape, they decided to use it for parts. So the other one is going to Canada and this one may get fixed in Texas.
That is the story as it was told to me
The three most common expressions in aviation are, "Why is it doing that?", "Where are we?" and "Oh Crap".
Did it belong to the deposed king, and was his son using it to get the family fortune out of the country? :DOriginally Posted by Derf

When the truck left did they throw a tarp over the aircraft? Not good publicity seeing that cruising on the road.
And I had heard that about some of the US Heli ships. THey were working the oil industry in Nigeria before coming
to the US (helicopters).
Oh and one more question, does D & K do regular maintenance for US Heli?
Thanks all.
No tarp for the trip and I do not know if it was normal for D&K. I can inquireOriginally Posted by Gerard

There were a number of scenes filmed for the show between D&K and the Museum and I'm curious,...
What time did they film? And how long were they there?
Thanks.
