I'm going to be at Planeview around noon for the DL762 and AC E175...what'll happen after that, I don't know.
Again, my cell is 1-917-741-7739.

Hey I just came back from LGA.
I was taking pictures when Jurgen came by.
Apparently he was waiting for Brian and Josh.
I was hoping they'd show up as well, but they didn't
The cops eventually came so we left at around 11.
Had a great time spotting though!

As Brian said, I woke up feeling like ****, so I didn't get out today.Originally Posted by fly.mcs
I'm quite curious as to why you decided you had to leave when the cops showed up. Did they force you to leave? If so, please put something in the Spotter Blotter.

As of about 1600L Saturday LGA is now landing/departing on 22 !

Hey jakbar.
Had no idea you weren't feeling well.
You must've felt like the weather this morning..crap; feel better.
Regarding the police, the officer came with at least two other cop cars and asked to see our IDs.
The man was nice and told us, "I can't tell you to stop taking photographs, but the pilots and drivers passing by might get disturbed and phone in."
He did not tell us to leave, but I did not want to cause any trouble.
Again, this is NYC, and ever since 9-11, things have never been the same.
Sometimes you'll get stuck with a mean cop (I had one experience), so I did not want to risk it at the time.
I enjoyed myself anyhow; was out there from 0800 until 1100.
Got some pretty nice shots too.
And yes, I am definately going back another time.

Well, got SOME spotting in today, about an hours worth... The whole day didn't really go as planned, but it worked out to a certain extent.
Did meet up with Jurgen (finally!), and went over to Planeview to meet up with Eric for the 762 and E175. This Tall Dutchie was a freakin' 6'6"! And I was up against the fence with a ladder. :) However, the weather, unlike Jurgen's height, was nothing to gawk at, so the day ended a few hours later.
The light was ugly and the planes were somewhat backlit with that 'glazed-over' look...nothing too fun...
(Already have the E175 shots up on J.P.)
Michael, you left about an hour before I showed up...I trust you got the earlier DL and AC, though. Your run in with the cops was an ideal one--as long as they exhibit a coherent understanding of the law and realize that we're not doing anything wrong, it's all good. Leaving the park was entirely your prerogative (or so I understand it)...and considering the weather and traffic, I may have done the same thing. Regardless, I would've loved to have been there. :)

Glad you got some sun, if was ****ty all day in Garden City. I am still considering Monday though the weather looks humid which means haze which means I will flag it.

Hey, that DL shot looks awfully familiar! :)Originally Posted by Futterman

Yeah, Josh, I know...almost identical to the one Phil took! :)
I also forgot to mention that Ron called me 15 minutes after I got home...and naturally, the AA 738 Astrojet had just landed.

Futt, nice shots on JP of the 175, the second 175 F/N 372 overnighted at LGA and departed at 0655 to YULon AC 741.Would not be surprised to see this aircraft today (Sunday) operating on the YUL side.
